DONATE A BIKE

Home 9 Services 9 Donate a Bike

Unused bike in your garage?

Why not donate it to Bikes for Farmworkers?

  • Niagara farmworkers need bikes to shop, get groceries and access services.

  • Bikes for Farmworkers collects donated bikes, refurbishes them and provides them to farmworkers for a nominal fee.

  • Our refurbished bikes are safe with reflectors, bells, working gears and brakes.

  • More than 500 farmworkers received safe bikes from us since April 2015.

  • We also provide helmets, reflective vests, tool kits, lights, repairs and bike locks as grant funding becomes available.

HOW TO DONATE A BIKE

You may bring it to St. Alban’s Anglican Church located at 4341 Ontario St. Beamsville, ON on Thursdays from 4:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. during the work season.

Please donate to help refurbish the donated bikes:

On average it costs more than $35 to refurbish a bike and ensure it has LED front and rear lights, safe tires, sound inner tubes, lubed chain & bearings, working brakes and gears, a bell, and reflectors. Mark your donation “Bikes for Farmworkers” and you have helped to provide transportation to a migrant farmworker. Thank you!
